About Rosie Lenses
Rosie Lenses Photography was started in 2003 with the birth of my daughter Artessa Rose. I graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Fine Arts the previous year and began working from my home so that I could schedule myself around Tessa's needs. It began with digital photo restoration. My husband Steven was a museum curator and had found my work with Photoshop to be very helpful in his field. Clarksville, TN where we lived at the time was full of history and people one wanted to restore and display their old photographs. I was also a member of the Friends of Photography organization there and exhibited my personal work in many shows. I have been taking photos for others commercially since 1999 and began seriously marketing my portrait and event photography in 2006 with the birth of my son Graham and our move back to the Bloomington area. I am so happy to be doing what I love. Wedding and maternity shoots by far my favorite commercial photography, but I love casual family shots as well where the kids are allowed to be themselves. I am branching out to high school seniors and infants but I am not so found of using tons of props as is so popular today. I am an on location photographer and thoroughly enjoy new and usual locations. I have traveled as far Virginia and Saint Augustine Florida for wedding shoots. I hope to use my work as a photographer one day in mission work. I recently graduated with a nursing degree with the hopes that my second career will take to people in need where I can also use my photography to raise awareness and support.
